A. Yes, the Snapvine Voice Player is free. There are no hidden fees, ongoing charges or nasty surprises. We promise. However, it is a domestic (USA) long distance call and depending on your phone service plan, you might be charged for these calls by your phone company. Many cell phone plans do not charge anything extra for domestic long distance calls. If you don.t have free long distance, recording by your computer.s microphone is a great option.
A. To remove the voice player from your social network page just delete the html code from the section you posted it in. To delete your profile on Snapvine, just log in and click "account" in the upper right corner. From here you can delete all your account info to delete your profile and cancel your account.
A. Go to the section where you posted the extra Voice Player and delete the html code.
A. If you get a message saying your sign in failed, it means that either your email address or password was entered incorrectly. You can click on "Forgot password?" and we'll email you a link to reset your password (if you don't see it, check your spam folder). When you set your password, make sure it doesn't contain any spaces or characters and you'll be good to go.
A. All you need to do is log into Snapvine then underneath your picture there will be a link to "Add Intro". You can record your intro by phone or mic from here.
A. Just click on "Add Photo" at the upper right in your "Personal Info" section. Make sure your photo is in JPEG format and is less than 4MB.
Voice Player
A. The most common reason for this is that the html code was not copied correctly. So delete the code you pasted in and try again. Usually that does the trick. Some formatting or other widgets may interfere with the Voice Player. In this case, put the Voice Player in a section that does not contain any other html.
A. Reinstalling your Voice Player is a snap. Simply go to www.snapvine.com and click on Widgets and then click on "Voice Player", then follow the instructions. By logging in first, then copying the html code, you will be able to keep all of your existing voice comments.
A. Yes. You can paste multiple copies of your Voice Player on different sites. They will all display the same voice comments.
Q. When I dial in to record a comment or validate my phone or record an intro, my phone is blocked. What can I do about it?
A. The most common reason for this is that your caller ID is not working. Try this:
- make sure your caller ID is not disabled
- make sure you are dialing from your validated phone
- dial your local call in number (do not dial international)
- don't use a VOIP phone service (such as Skype)
- don't use an office phone
A. A few things may have happened:
- Your friends may have mis-dialed your short code. Try recording a personal introduction (instructions below), so that your friends hear your voice when they call in to leave you a voice comment.
- You may have your Voice Player set to private mode, in which case the comments will not be visible until you approve them. You can change this by changing your privacy settings (instructions below).
A. Shout Out is a great way for you to record your voice and send it out to many people at once! The shout out will be delivered to the snapvine voice player of every recipient you select. To send one, click "My Voice Comments" on your Snapvine homepage, then click "Send a Voice Comment" and define who you want the voice comment to go to. You can also get there by clicking this link. You can send a Shout Out to all your subscribers or friends whose email addresses you enter.
A. Click on the link "sign in" on the bottom right of your Voice Player, and sign in. Click "delete" icon next to any voice comment you want to delete. Once deleted, the comments cannot be recovered.
A. Log into Snapvine. Underneath your picture there will be a link to "Add Intro." You can record by phone or mic from here.
A. Just click on "Add Photo" at the upper right in your "Personal Info" section. Make sure your photo is in JPEG format and under 4MB.
A. We validate your phone in order to be sure that this really is your phone. This prevents fraud. You can always change phones later, if you want to. You can get and send comments without validating your phone, but if you want to record a personal intro or to upload a photo, you'll need to validate.
A. Sign in to Snapvine. Click on "account" followed by "phone numbers" then "add a phone"; from there, following the online instructions to validate your phone number.
Voice Blogs
A. A voice blog is a great way to keep your friends (or fans!) updated on your life. From your Snapvine homepage, click "My Voice Blog" and then click "Post" or go there by clicking here.
